The goals of this study were to advance the understanding of the distinct impact of amphetamine across mouse lines with different genetic predisposition for neurological disorders treatable by this psychostimulant Overall design: 10 male mice were treated with d-amphetamine (25mg/kg) and 10 male mice were treated with saline at approximately 6 month of age. Half of the mice in each group were from a line selected for cage overactivity and the rest served as control. The striatum from was obtained 2 hours after treatment with the psychostimulant.
