Clinically healthy swine are important reservoirs of opportunistic and commensal bacteria, including representatives of the genus Escherichia. The study of populations of Escherichia coli in clinically healthy swine is limiting in the literature, being too comprehensive for sick animals. Thus, the main objective of the project is to characterize genomes of Escherichia coli from clinically healthy swine.
