Characterization of Changes and Driver Microbes in Gut Microbiota During Healthy Aging Using a Captive Monkey Model

Due to the influence of various exposure factors, such as smoking, drug use, etc., the correlation between age and microbiota has not been well elaborated. Given the relationship between the microbiome and healthy aging, it is particularly important to analyze the correlation between gut microbiota and age. To this end, we collected the feces of 40 male crab-eating monkeys of four ages, and through metagenomic sequencing, explored which microbiota or gene function correlates with age.
