This project aims to develop heat-tolerant potato (Solanum tuberosum) lines by suppressing the StCOL1 gene using RNP-mediated CRISPR/Cas9 genome editing. The StCOL1 knockout lines were generated to reduce the inhibitory effect of high temperature on tuber formation. Phenotypic and molecular analyses were conducted to evaluate enhanced tuberization and growth performance under heat stress conditions.
