Whole-genome sequencing of Ethiopian sorghum landraces and founder lines

This project comprises whole-genome sequencing data from 188 Ethiopian sorghum (Sorghum bicolor) germplasm, including 90 founder lines and 98 key landrace accessions, representing the genetic and geographical diversity of sorghum across Ethiopia. The data provide genome-wide variant information for the sampled germplasm, enabling analyses of population structure, genetic diversity, and patterns of adaptation across diverse environments. The data support marker discovery, association studies, germplasm characterization, and marker development for selection, and can be used as a genomic resource for crop improvement and related sorghum research.
