A long-term (1980-2020) global terrestrial evapotranspiration (ET) product with a spatial resolution of 0.5 degree and 1 degree. This is a merged product from thirty ET products using the Bayesian model averaging (BMA) method. These include four main types: remote sensing–based, machine learning–based, reanalysis-based, and land-surface-model-based.<br>Data is provided here for two types of resolutions: 0.5 degrees (ET_BMA_1980_2020_05degree.nc) and 1 degree (ET_BMA_1980_2020_1degree.nc). The dataset is stored in NetCDF format, containing the variable ET, representing terrestrial evapotranspiration, produced in millimeters (mm) as a unit. There are three dimensions included in the dataset: longitude, latitude, and time, with the longitude ranging from -180E to 179.5E, the latitude from -89.75N to 89.75N. Complete time coverage is from January, 1980, to December, 2020.
