Landscape protected areas

The digitisation was created on the basis of the maps of the protected area documentation (some geometries were taken over by the competent authorities and adapted to basic geospatial data). Depending on the designation period, the delimitation maps of the Landscape Protection Areas (LSG) have different standards. From the middle of the 1990s, ordinance maps in the scale of 1:10.000, in local locations, partly supplemented by hallway maps, are common. Before that, the LSG were also shown on scales 1:25.000 to 1:200.000 (different card editions). Digitisation was carried out on the screen against the background of the topographic map 1:10.000 AS (issue 1989-2003) or later DTK10. Additional aerial photographs (digital orthophotos) and ALK (river maps) were also included in sub-areas. Due to the different digitisation bases (delimitation map scale and quality), the deviations in the terrain can range from ± 10 to ± 300 m. For the precise determination of the limits of an LSG, the delimitation cards of the designation must therefore always be used. In general, the Lower Nature Conservation Authorities in the districts (LK) and district-free cities (except LSG 142) are responsible for the designation of LSG and the implementation of the regulations. Ambiguities about the borderline of LSG should therefore usually be clarified with the UNB of the LK or the district-free cities. The Biosphere Reserve Elbe Act (BRElbeG M V) of 15 January 2015 repealed: the Ordinance on the LSG Mecklenburgische Elbetal and the Ordinance on the LSG Boise, insofar as it lies within the Biosphere Reserve River Landscape Elbe Mecklenburg-Vorpommern (BR ELB) At the same time, development zones (ECs) have been identified, which are comparable to LSG in terms of protection intensity and control content. The EZs of the BR ELB are therefore included in the shape file of the LSG. [Note: The Ordinances of the Schaalsee and Southeast-Rügen Biosphere Reserves formally designated their protection zones III as LSG at that time.] This is the so-called gross shape file, in which the areas which are at the same time Nature Reserve (NSG) have not been cut out (i.e. complete representation of the LSG areas, including those which are at the same time NSG); this shapefile should be used for map representations without NSG.
