Companies: number of local units by sector of activity and number of employees

The dataset contains data relating to local units (ULs) present in the territory of the Municipality of Milan. The local unit is the physical place where the undertaking carries out its business, so it may coincide with the undertaking or part of it. (Some examples: Agency, bar, store, shop, laboratory, warehouse, professional studio, office, surgery, hotel...). ULs in the dataset are classified by Ateco 2007 UL code (2 and 5 digits). For each entry in the Ateco classification the number of ULs, the number of employees and self-employed persons and the total number of employees (sum of the two previous entries) are reported. NOTE 1: Data on employees are calculated as a unit of work. In this regard, it is recalled that full-time work units (FWUs) may refer to the work performed in the year by a full-time employee, or to the amount of equivalent work performed by part-time workers or by workers performing double work (e.g. two 50 % part-time workers appear to be 1 work unit). The unit of work is therefore not linked to the individual natural person, but conventionally refers to a quantity of standard full-time work defined by national contracts. This explains the presence of values with decimal places. NOTE 2: The data are updated to the last available year. Pending final ISTAT data for 2012.本数据集收录了米兰市行政辖区内现存地方单位（Local Units，ULs）的相关数据。 地方单位指企业开展经营活动的实体场所，可与企业整体重合，亦可为企业的一部分。示例包括：办事处、酒吧、商铺、实验室、仓库、专业工作室、办公室、诊疗室、酒店等。本数据集中的ULs依据Ateco 2007 UL编码（2位及5位）进行分类。针对Ateco分类体系中的每一个类别，数据集均记录了该类别下的ULs数量、雇员及自营劳动者人数，以及雇员总人数（即前述两项数值之和）。 注1：雇员数据以工作单位为统计单元。在此需说明，全职工作单位（Full-Time Work Units，FWUs）可指代全职雇员在一年内完成的工作时长，亦可指代兼职雇员或身兼多职雇员所完成的等效工作时长（例如两名各占50%工时的兼职雇员等效为1个工作单位）。因此，工作单位并非与单个自然人绑定，而是依据国家劳资协议约定的标准全职工作量进行的量化统计，这也解释了统计值为何会出现小数。 注2：本数据更新至最新可获取年份。2012年的最终ISTAT数据仍在待收集中。
