The S phase-induced lncRNA SUNO1 promotes cell proliferation by controlling YAP1/Hippo signaling pathway

Cell cycle is a cellular process that are subject to stringent control. In contrast to the wealth of knowledge of proteins controlling the cell cycle, very little is known about the molecular role of lncRNAs (long noncoding RNAs) in cell cycle progression. To understand the role of S phase upregulated SUNO1 lncRNA, we performed microarray analyses of control and SUNO1-depleted HCT116 cells. We performed the microarray in biologicl duplicates. We used to two time points (36 hrs and 72 hrs post siRNA treatment) to identify the gene sets that showed differential expression during early and late time points post SUNO1 depletion.
