资源简介:
GPS collar location data were collected as part of a long-term study on caribou (Rangifer tarandus granti) in the Denali herd of Alaska. Collars were deployed on adult (greater than or equal to 2 years) female caribou from 2010-2013, and then refurbished and redeployed on adult (greater than or equal to 4 years) male caribou from 2014-2018. The collars were manufactured by Telonics (TGW-4600 store-on-board, Mesa, AZ) and were programmed to collect a GPS location every 2 hours. Collars were recovered from the field and the data were downloaded. The dataset includes three tables: (1) information about each caribou that was collared (sex, monitoring period, etc.), (2) GPS locations for female caribou, and (3) GPS locations for male caribou. Collar locations collected prior to or after deployment, or after a mortality event, were removed from the dataset.
