Raw Data_Big Five Personality Traits and Psychological Stress Among Chinese College Students

The dataset, "Raw Data_Big Five Personality Traits and Psychological Stress Among Chinese College Students", was collected from 1,128 college students recruited from multiple universities across China between October and November 2025. Data were obtained through an online questionnaire administered via a digital survey platform (https://www.wjx.cn/). After excluding invalid responses, a total of 1,128 valid questionnaires were retained for analysis. This dataset was designed to examine the associations between Big Five personality traits and psychological stress among Chinese college students, with two psychological variables included as mediating factors. Specifically, psychological resilience and thinking styles were assessed as mediating variables linking personality traits and psychological stress. The dataset contains self-reported measures of Big Five personality traits, psychological stress, psychological resilience, thinking styles, and basic demographic information. Overall, this dataset provides a structured empirical resource for exploring the relationships among personality traits, psychological resilience, thinking styles, and psychological stress in Chinese college students. It offers valuable data for future research examining psychological mechanisms underlying stress-related outcomes in the college population.
