Treatment with commonly used antiretroviral drugs induces a type I/III interferon signature in the gut in the absence of HIV infection: RNAseq from MTN-017

The purpose of this data set was to measure how the expression of RNA transcripts in rectal biopsies is affected by use of oral tenofovir disoproxil fumarate/emtricitabine, daily rectal tenofovir gel, or pericoital rectal tenofovir gel for prevention of HIV infection. Transcripts were measured by RNAseq from samples taken from the MTN-017 study at baseline and after two months of each treatment. In the count_matrix tab, each column is a sample and each row is a transcript. Values are counts of transcripts. In the transcript_metadata tab, each row is a transcript.
