资源简介:
Klebsiella pneumoniae is a Gram-negative, non-motile, encapsulated, lactose fermenting facultative anaerobic rod shaped bacterium. K. pneumoniae are bacterial pathogens that can cause a variety of severe infections in humans. Is also a well-known causal agent of mastitis in cattle and bacteraemia in calves, cervicitis and metritis in mares, pneumonia and septicemia in foals, pneumonia, urinary tract infection and septicemia in dogs. Currently K. pneumoniae strains have become increasingly resistant to antibiotics, such as beta lactamics, thus rendering infection by these strains very challenging to treat. The emergence of hypervirulent and antibiotic-resistant strains have driven a number of recent studies worldwide.
