Peanut-based intercropping systems altered soil bacterial communities, potential functions, and crop yield

Peanut intercropping with grain or sorghum is a typical configuration system of high dwarf crops. It can realize the complementarity of space and has been widely used in Shandong Province. However, more studies need to understand the influences of intercropping on soil microbial communities. Therefore, we explored the responses of the microecological soil environment in the different intercropping systems and determined the inner mechanisms using the Illumina MiSeq platform.
