A cell is deformed by a focused laser. The deformation is detected interferometrically by another laser which forms a stripe pattern on the camera. The stripe pattern is fitted frame by frame by a sin*gauss function, where the phase is proportional to the deformation distance. The fitparameters are stored in an element of the matlab class "interference_study.m" (programs-> interference_study) for each cell/position/treatment, which also contains the metadata. They are extracted, processed and plotted by the plot_ functions in the two folders (plot_fig2, plot_fig3, plot_fig4).
