IMOS SOOP-XBT Upper Ocean Thermal Data collected on the line PX33 (Hobart - Macquarie Island)

Temperature data from the TOGA/WOCE transect PX33 between Hobart and Macquarie Island has been collected since december 1992 and are ongoing. The transect is repeated irregularly.\nThe data are obtained from XBTs (expendable bathythermographs) deployed by the French Antarctic resupply vessel L'Astrolabe, and are managed by the French Polar Institute (IPEV) and the Joint Australian Facility for Ocean Observing Systems (JAFOOS), a collaborative venture between CSIRO Marine Research and the Bureau of Meteorology Research Centre (BMRC).

自1992年12月起，科研人员持续采集霍巴特（Hobart）与麦夸里岛（Macquarie Island）之间热带海洋与全球大气计划/世界海洋环流实验（TOGA/WOCE）PX33海洋断面的温度数据，该项数据采集工作迄今仍在推进，且该观测断面的巡航以不定期重复的模式开展。
本数据集的数据由法国南极补给船L'Astrolabe投放的投弃式温深仪（expendable bathythermographs，XBT）获取，并由法国极地研究所（IPEV）以及由澳大利亚联邦科学与工业研究组织海洋研究部（CSIRO Marine Research）与澳大利亚气象局研究中心（BMRC）合作共建的澳大利亚海洋观测系统联合设施（JAFOOS）负责管理。
