VPRS 12665 Contract Reference and Record Book (Western Victoria)

This series appears to have been a divisional record book or an officers personal reference and record book. Portion of the book is set out as a cash book with receipts from successive votes in a number of years are set out with amounts as are the disbursements made. Other expenditure records in this book are to do with Maintenance, Salaries, Travelling Expenses and Chainmen. A list is given of a number of Main Roads gazetted under the 1863 Local Government Act with their details and the date upon which they were gazetted. There is the same type of list for a number of Shires proclaimed under the same Act as well as a list of Works on Main Roads ordered under the Local Government Act 1863. These latter are listed by shire with the details of the work and the Record Number for each piece of work.VPRS 12665/P1 was formerly registered as Unit 18 of VPRS 1108 Contract Book.
