数据集为黄土高原典型黄土区黄土厚度数据,黄土厚度是指从地表到基岩深度所覆盖的黄土层的垂直高度或深度。黄土厚度数据是基于美国地质调查局USGS 30 m分辨率SRTM高程数据结合野外实测的基岩露出高程数据(2018年),运用ArcGIS 软件中的邻域分析功能,计算生成黄土厚度图,并通过黄土高原上均匀分布的 162 个观测点数据进行了验证。验证结果表明:计算的黄土厚度是可靠的、准确的,能够反映整个地区的黄土厚度分布。该数据集时间截止2019年,空间分辨率为500 m。数据可为更好地研究黄土高原土壤-水过程以及更准确地估算黄土高原的土壤水分、碳和溶质库提供支持。
This dataset provides loess thickness data for typical loess areas on the Loess Plateau. Loess thickness is defined as the vertical height or depth of the loess layer spanning from the ground surface to the underlying bedrock. The loess thickness data was produced by integrating the 30-meter resolution SRTM elevation data from the United States Geological Survey (USGS) with field-measured bedrock exposure elevation data collected in 2018, and conducting neighborhood analysis via ArcGIS software to generate the loess thickness map. A total of 162 evenly distributed observation points across the Loess Plateau were used to validate the dataset. Validation results demonstrate that the calculated loess thickness values are reliable and accurate, and can effectively reflect the spatial distribution of loess thickness across the entire study area. This dataset covers data up to 2019, with a spatial resolution of 500 m. This dataset can facilitate better research on soil-water processes on the Loess Plateau, and enable more accurate estimation of soil moisture, carbon and solute pools in the region.
