Emotional Musical Prosody Dataset

The Affective Musical Rhythm Dataset was created by the Music Technology Center at Georgia Institute of Technology. It contains 4.2 hours of improvised affective speech phrases, which are designed based on the Geneva Emotion Wheel and cover 20 distinct emotions. The dataset has been validated through extensive auditory tests and is suitable for generative systems. Its creation process included hiring singer Mary Carter to record in a home studio, using specific recording templates and microphone positioning.
