Daily Temperature and Temperature Anomaly Data at Staffed Antarctic Stations
收藏资源简介:
This dataset provides daily near-surface temperature and daily near-surface temperature anomaly records from 16 staffed stations of different nations and institutions across the Antarctic continent. It is an update of the Turner et al. (2020) database, originally compiled by the British Antarctic Survey and expanded here with additional data from the NOAA Global Historical Climatology Network. For each station, two CSV files are available: Daily temperature (e.g., {station}_surface_daily.csv) Daily temperature anomalies (e.g., {station}_surface_daily_anom.csv). which were calculated by subtracting each day's temperature from its multi-year average, smoothed using a cubic spline. Column descriptions: Date: Date of the observation, is YYYY-MM-DD. TX: Maximum daily temperature (or temperature anomaly), based on 6-hourly instantaneous measurements Tmean: Daily mean temperature (or temperature anomaly), calculated from the 6-hourly instantaneous measurements reference: Turner, J. et al. Antarctic temperature variability and change from station data. Int. J. Climatol. 40, 2986–3007 (2020).
