资源简介:
River terraces are landforms that represent paleo-river channels and are used in studies of geomorphology to understand climate and tectonic processes and constrain rates of river incision and landscape change. Here, we present a shapefile (generated in ArcPro) of river terraces mapped at 1:10,000 scale along the Kolokithas and Varitis Rivers in central Crete, Greece. The data consists of mapped surface deposits (i.e. river terraces and alluvial fans) and is designed to aid in quantitative analysis of landscape dynamics. River terraces are classified into five age groups, and alluvial fans have three age classifications based on luminescence geochronology and degree of soil maturity. The shapefile is in the WGS 1984 UTM Zone 35N projection., , , # Data from: The impact of river capture on fluvial terraces and bedrock incision
