Problem identified and addressed, implications for public health research The baseline assessment showed challenges with the iodine status of children (low) and the iodine content of table salt (higher), as well as a very high prevalence of stunted growth in children. To lessen these potential nutritional issues in children, it is necessary to implement healthy eating habits and nutritional practices. Women in the community had provided about children’s hygienic food preparation and handling as well as information on the nutritional value of foods, the components of an adequate diet, appropriate food choices and purchases from available resources.已明确并解决的问题及其对公共卫生研究的启示 本次基线评估结果显示，当地儿童存在碘营养水平偏低、食用盐碘含量偏高的问题，同时儿童生长迟缓的患病率居高不下。为缓解儿童潜在的营养健康隐患，需推广健康饮食习惯与科学营养实践。社区女性已围绕儿童卫生食品制备与处理、食品营养价值、合理膳食构成、适宜食物选择及依托现有资源开展食物采购等相关内容，提供了相关信息支持。
