VPRS 879 Registers of Inwards Correspondence

The volumes in this series were used to register correspondence received by the National Schools Board. Details given are the number allocated to each piece of correspondence, the date upon which it was received, by whom it was addressed (given as the name or office of the writer), Number (being the writer's reference number), the date (of registration), subject, the date when answered and remarks. Numbers in this last column in latter volumes are those given replies in the Outwards Letter Books (see VPRS 878 Outwards Letter Books)

本系列卷宗均用于登记国家学校委员会（National Schools Board）所收公务信函。其所记录的细节包括：每封信函的分配编号、收文日期、发件人信息（即写信人的姓名或职务）、发件人参考编号、登记日期、信函事由、复函日期及备注信息。后期卷宗中最后一列的编号，即对应外发信函簿（详见VPRS 878 外发信函簿）中已予以回复的信函编号。
