Pilot study for TRIP in Drosophila

The aim of TRIP (Thousands of Reporters Integrated in Parallel) is to randomly integrate transcription reporters in the genome of an organism and subsequently map them and measure their expression. In this pilot study, barcoded reporters were generated by PCR and integrated in Drosophila Kc167 cells by sleeping beauty transposition. After 10 days of growth, the integrated reporters were recovered from the population by inverse PCR and sequenced on an Illumina platform.
