Proflavine-stained cells (CAL 27 - oral cancer cell line)

Oral carcinoma cell line. (ATCC CRL-2095, ATCC, Manassas, VA), cultured in DMEM media supplemented with 10% fetal bovine serum (ATCC, Manassas, VA) and 1% Penicillin-Streptomycin (Life Technologies, Grand Island, NY) and incubated at 37C in 5% CO2. The cells were utilized up to passage number four. Before staining, the cells were trypsinized with 0.25% Trypsin-EDTA (Life<br>Technologies, Grand Island, NY). Stained with proflavine to final concentration of 0.01% (w/v) in PBS.
