Streptomyces rapamycinicus Genome sequencing

Streptomyces rapamycinicus NRRL 5491 strain is a well-known producer of rapamycin, which is a value-added chemical with various bioactivities including antifungal, antitumor and immunosuppressive functions. In this study, whole genome sequences of S. rapamycinicus wild-type strain NRRL 5491 and rapamycin hyper-producer SRMK07 strain, obtained from random mutagenesis of the wild-type strain, were analyzed to identify gene mutations that allowed the hyper-production performance of the SRMK07 strain.Streptomyces rapamycinicus NRRL 5491 菌株是著名的雷帕霉素生产者，雷帕霉素是一种附加值化学物质，具备包括抗真菌、抗肿瘤及免疫抑制等多样化的生物活性。在本研究中，对源自野生型菌株 NRRL 5491 的雷帕霉素高产菌株 SRMK07 的全基因组序列进行了分析，旨在鉴定出赋予 SRMK07 菌株超高产量性能的基因突变。
