This research is the first one to uncover the transcriptome of Helonias orientalis (Thunb.) N.Tanaka (Liliaceae). This study uncovers the impact of tissue storage and extraction methods at room temperature on the cellular activities of the plant while offering a portable solution to do RNA extraction experiments in geographically difficult-to-access regions.
