NGF plays a key role in controlling growth, maintenance and survival of neurons. Many of its critical actions are believed to be mediated by activation of corresponding transcription factors. Here we attempt to reveal signaling cascades that relay NGF stimulation to NFAT, that are implicated in playing a pivotal role in neuronal development and survival.<br>
神经生长因子(NGF,Nerve Growth Factor)在调控神经元的生长、维持与存活过程中发挥关键作用。现有研究表明,其诸多核心生物学效应均通过激活相应转录因子得以介导。本研究旨在揭示将NGF刺激信号传递至活化T细胞核因子(NFAT,Nuclear Factor of Activated T cells)的信号级联通路,而活化T细胞核因子在神经元发育与存活过程中被证实发挥关键调控作用。
