Processed ship-based Multibeam Sonar Data (version 2) acquired along the East Pacific Rise (EPR) near Segment 9N during the Marcus G. Langseth expedition MGL0812 (2008)

This data set was acquired with a ship-based Kongsberg EM120 Multibeam Sonar system during Marcus G. Langseth expedition MGL0812 conducted in 2008 (Chief Scientist: Dr. John Mutter). These data files are of MBSystem format and include Sidescan, Acoustic Backscatter, and Swath Bathymetry data and were processed by the GMRT Team using the open source MB-System multibeam sonar processing software as part of the GMRT Synthesis effort. These data are included in the GMRT Synthesis, version 2.0. Data were acquired as part of the project(s): 3-D/4-D Seismic Reflection Imaging of the Magmatic-Hydrothermal System at the East Pacific Rise Ridge 2000 Integrated Study Site at 9-50' N, and funding was provided by NSF grant(s): OCE03-27872.
