Map Viewing Service (WMS) of the dataset: Audomarois Marais PPRN — Flood Assessment by the Audomarois Marais Hydrogeomorphological Method

HGM studies are geographical approaches that study the natural functioning of rivers by analysing the structure of the valleys and in particular the river forms introduced as successive floods occur. They identify and delineate flood zones without being able to associate them with a frequency. This is one of the methods recommended by the Ministry responsible for flood prevention for the realisation of the Atlases of Inundated Areas (AZI).They are a necessary prerequisite for the implementation of the Flood Risk Prevention Plans. These advantages are numerous, among them it can be noted its speed, its cost and its easier ownership by its users since the phenomenon studied has left its “footprint” on the ground.
