Sprocket cover arrangement of a hand-held chainsaw， comprising a sprocket cover (1)， a housing (2)， at least one stud bolt (3) attached to the housing (2) for screwing the sprocket cover (1) to the housing (2)， and a nut (4) for screwing onto a free threaded end (5) of the stud bolt (3) passed through an opening (6) of the sprocket cover (1) in the assembled state， the nut (4) being captive， is rotatable and with play in the opening (6) of the sprocket cover (1)， and wherein the play is an axial play (s) with respect to a longitudinal axis (7) of the stud bolt (3)， characterized in that the axial play ( s) is at least as large as the intended screwing depth (t) of the stud (3) into the nut (4)， and that a length (L) of the stud (3) and the play of the nut (4) in the sprocket cover (1) are so coordinated that when the sprocket cover (1) is in the operating position， the screw connection of the nut (4) with the stud bolt (3) can be completely loosened and fully tightened.
