Legacy effects in rearing water Atlanic cod

Rearing water from 16 experimental tanks (100L) was collected at 1 and 12 DPH by pushing water through a 0.2um filter (total 32 samples). The experimental design was a 2x2 factorial experiment varying the rearing water treatment system (MMS vs FTS) and the microbial carrying capacity (+/- added organic matter). At 9 DPH the inlet pipes were switched in 8 of the experimental tanks such that half of the tanks experienced two different water treatment systems, while half were kept on the same system throughout the experiment.
