The term institution receiving the public (ERP) refers in French law to public or private places for clients or users other than employees (employees or civil servants) who are protected by occupational health and safety rules. This layer comprises a very large number of establishments such as cinemas, theatres, shops (from the outlet to the large surface), libraries, schools, universities, hotels, restaurants, hospitals, railway stations, the various places of worship, and whether they are fixed or temporary structures (hat, inflatable structures). It presents establishments receiving categories 1 to 4 of the public and those subject to periodic visits for category 5.
