Expression data from wildtype and islet2a mutant and morphant embryos

Modifications of gene expression were compared between wildtype control, and islet2a mutants and morphants. We used microarrays to detect modifications in gene expression in mutant vs. control, morphant vs. control, and mutant vs. morphant. To identify potential changes in gene expression underlying different motor neuron phenotypes of islet2a mutants vs. morphants, RNA was extracted from 2 day post fertilization (dpf) embryos of four different treatments: 1) uninjected wild type (WT_control; n=2); (2) wildtype injected with translation blocking morpholino (Morphant, n=3); (3 and 4) sibling homozygous wildtype (mock_control, n=2) and islet2a mutants (Mutant, n=3). For comparisons, the WT_Control and mock_control were pooled, resulting in a final control group with n=4.
