A price survey conducted at supermarkets in Hamamatsu City revealed that the average price of 1 kg of strawberries in May 2024 was 1,690 yen. This is 328 yen cheaper than the national average of 2,018 yen. During the period from January 2015 to May 2024 (a span of 59 months), the highest price for strawberries at supermarkets within Hamamatsu City was recorded in December 2023 at 3,004 yen, whereas the lowest price was in April 2016 at 1,401 yen. The price difference between the peak and lowest price periods for strawberries in the Hamamatsu City area, with the peak being December 2023 and the lowest being April 2016, is 328 yen.
