Ostracoda abundance in DSDP Leg 87 holes@en

Twenty-two specimens of Ostracoda representing fifteen species of twelve genera were found in sediments from DSDP Leg 87. All specimens were collected from the Nankai Trough (Sites 582 and 583) in Pleistocene sediments from 21.56 to 110.38 m sub-bottom (4618 to 4879 m water depth). Ostracodes were not found at Site 584 (Japan Trench). All species are warm-temperate, shallow-water inhabitants, suggesting that the sediments containing them are slump deposits.本次研究在深海钻探计划（Deep Sea Drilling Project, DSDP）第87航次的沉积物中，发现了隶属于12属15种的介形类（Ostracoda）标本共计22块。所有标本均采自南海海槽（站位582与583）的更新世沉积物中，采样层位为海底以下21.56至110.38米，对应水体深度4618至4879米。站位584（日本海沟）未发现介形类化石。所有介形类物种均为暖温带浅水栖息类群，据此可推断含该类群的沉积物为滑塌沉积。
