Pardosa pseudoannulata is an important natural enemy of pests in rice ecosystem in southern China, which belongs to the perennial dominant species [ 10 ]. Female spiders of Pardosa pseudoannulata can produce fertilized eggs once in a lifetime. The whole life cycle includes pre-oviposition period, egg period, young spider period and adult spider period, in which it will undergo multiple molting. Females of P.pseudoannulata generally reach sexual maturity after molting for 7-8 times. Females lay eggs within 1 week after mating. Before oviposition, they will spin to form the base of oocysts, and will stick the oocysts to the end of the abdomen through the spider silk produced by the silk gland. Therefore, female spiders can carry oocysts for hunting activities [ 11 ].
