Interrelationship between seven strategic cybersecurity factors

The interrelationship between seven strategic cybersecurity factors was obtained from interviews with specialists in a case study in the financial sector in South Africa. The data shows the pairwise relationship between the seven elements. Given the complexity of cybersecurity in an organisation, there is a need for clear and timely communication across functions, as some specialists were not sure of the interrelationship flow between all elements. In addition, given the strategic demand for responsive cybersecurity, the results show a high level of inter-relationship between all the factors. An area of future research is to consider the timing of information flowing in a cybersecurity process.
