The establishment and operation of a joint international environmental surveillance research center among South Korea, Australia, and Japan is aimed at proactively preventing threats to human health and the environment posed by emerging novel hazardous agents. Through this initiative, the quantitative objectives include obtaining analysis, behavioral prediction, and risk assessment technologies for two or more types of emerging novel hazardous agents of human origin.
