Compiled nonstructural carbohydrates, isotopes, and respiration data for tree tissues and fungi collected in Stillberg, Switzerland

The study conducted in the Stillberg ecotone, located in the Central Swiss Alps near Davos (46°47ʹN, 9°52ʹE). We collected samples of fine roots in three size classes, branches, and needles from Larix decidua and Pinus mugo trees, and sporocarps of ectomycorhizal and saprotrophic fungi.Analyses includs:Δ¹⁴C - respired CO₂ from fine roots and branche, water-soluble C and a-cellulose from all tree tissues, fungi sporocarps, tree rings and additional samples to construct local atmospheric Δ Δ¹⁴CO₂.δ¹⁵N - bulk tree tissues and fungiδ¹³C - respired CO₂ of fine roots and branches, from all tree tissues water-soluble C, starch, and bulk tissues.Annual growth rings of fine roots.Glucose, fructose, sucrose, and starch of tree tissues.
