This dataset contains the experimental data supporting the publication titled "Combining aptamers for thiamphenicol and chloramphenicol for detecting both antibiotics " by Shu et al. (2025, Chemical Communications). The study presents a DNA aptamer for thiamphenicol, and then using this aptamer with chloramphenicol aptamer to form a sensor array to differentiate TAP and CAP using principal component analysis. The dataset includes: Fluorescence emission spectra for ThT/aptamer–target interactions. Binding curves derived from fluorescence titration assays and calibration curve for thiamphenicol detection. Isothermal titration calorimetry (ITC) data, including raw thermograms and integrated heat values. Selectivity tests comparing responses to various antibiotics. A sensor array to differentiate TAP and CAP using principal component analysis. Binding curve derived from fluorescence titration assay in lake water. The RT-PCR results of the TAP aptamer selection. CD spectra of the aptamer and aptamer-target. Each excel file corresponds to a specific figure in the publication (Figures 2-4 and Supplementary Figures S1–S5), and filenames clearly indicate their content. Descriptions for each file are provided in the included README.txt file. This dataset facilitates further exploration of aptamer–target interactions, construction of sensitive and robust biosensors for environmental and food monitoring applications.
