Panel Data on U.S. STEM PhD graduates, 1950-2022

This repository provides data accompanying NBER Working Paper no. 33944, documenting the number of U.S. STEM PhD graduates since 1950 and their universities, fields, sources of support, and relation to critical technologies. The repository provides three panel datasets: field x year, university x year, and university x field x year. The included readme describes data provenance and contents.
