Caecal tonsil transcriptome of inbred chickens with and without C. jejui challenge

Two chicken lines differ in their susceptibility to C. jejuni. The caecal tonsil transcriptome of Line 6 and N was investigated after challenge with C. jejuni at one and five days post infection, with age matched controls included in the study design. Each group contained three birds. TruSeq library preparation and sequencing on HiSeq 4000 was carried out by Edinburgh Genomics to a depth of 50 million reads per sample.
