Gene expression response to leaf drying in six oak species

This study compared gene expression responses to leaf drying for six California oak species with varying drought tolerance traits to identify gene expression patterns associated with drought tolerance or drought sensitivity. The dataset contains RNA-seq data from leaf tissue from six oak species under a drying or control treatment. Branches were sampled from a common garden, and a branch from each sampled individual was subjected to a drying treatment or control (well-watered) treatment in a paired experimental design. Treatments were compared to identify genes that were differentially expressed under simulated drought in each oak species.
