Mesomycoplasma ovipneumoniae strain:274 Genome sequencing

Mycoplasma ovipneumoniae is recognized as the major causative agent that causes chronic non-progressive pneumonia in both sheep and goats worldwide. Genomic analysis is important to understand the epidemiology and pathogenesis of this animal pathogen, which can provide the theoretical basis to develop effective tools to control this animal disease. Publishing the whole genome sequences of the current strains of M. ovipneumoniae from Bosnia and Herzegovina, which means to share data with researchers in this field, will be able to evaluate genetic relatedness of M. ovipneumoniae isolates worldwide, and also facilitate the mycoplasma research.
