A picture is worth a thousand words: Teaching effective and ethical visual image research through eLearning

How can the Library support students who are not conducting typical academic research or writing traditional essays? In this poster, we showcase a new eLearning module created by the Monash University Liaison Librarian for Art, Design and Architecture. This module (built in Articulate 360 Rise and embedded into our Moodle LMS) aims to instruct students in ‘Finding, Using and Citing Images’ in their work. It was built collaboratively with input from academic staff and the Library’s Copyright Adviser, and incorporates new and existing content from disparate Monash guides and websites into a holistic, sustainable, user-centred, engaging and informative lesson.
