Gegeoreum (Crab Walk): Traditional Korean Lateral Movement, Balance Transfer, and Lower-Body Coordination Training
收藏资源简介:
Together, Jeolguzil and Gegeoreum form a coordinated “Subak Movement Education System” integrating breathing, movement, pelvic stabilization, balance transfer, lower-body force generation, and body coordination. The attached image shows the crab walk movement. From a horse stance, move forward, backward, and sideways with your knees bent, and lean your upper body forward. During this process, exhale when stepping forward and inhale when bringing your feet together. This outlines the basic movements. The purpose of this training is to learn how to move in space; the upper body—specifically the torso—is kept stable, while movement is primarily driven by the lower body. The key here is to maintain the pelvic area, where the center of gravity is located.
