Corrosion Test 20

Additively manufactured (laser powder bed fusion) 316L stainless steel tensile testing samples with embedded TPMS (triply periodic minimal surface) lattice structures. Two different geometries (Gyroid and Diamond) in three size scales were CT scanned two times: before and after an immersion corrosion test in 3.5 w% NaCl solution. A paper titled: 'The Effect of Lattice Size and Geometry on Localized Corrosion of Laser Powder Bed Fusion 316L Stainless Steel: Analysis with X-Ray Microcomputed Tomography' describes the research in full detail.
