Statically mounted polarsondes at Macquarie Island

This dataset comprises measurements of backscatter intensity from two polarimetric backscatter sondes mounted statically on masts at Macquarie Is. from January 2017 to June 2017. One is located on the anemometer mast on the isthmus, about 9.5 m above the ground, and the other on the transmitter mast on Wireless Hill, at a height of about 2.5 m. The instruments emit polarised light horizontally into the atmosphere in a SSE direction. Each day at 0000Z these are archived to a compressed file (tar + gzip), with the date of the compressed file creation being included in the filename of the gz file. A quirk of the timing is that a second or two of data from the start of the day are included with the data for the previous day. 通道2：发射与水平方向成45°偏振的光，波长470 nm。
2017年3月起：
通道1：发射水平偏振光，波长470 nm；
通道2：发射水平偏振光，波长650 nm。

无线山桅杆配置：
通道1：发射水平偏振光，波长470 nm；
通道2：发射与水平方向成45°偏振的光，波长470 nm。

数据采用ASCII文本格式，每秒记录一次，存储为每小时一个日志文件。每日协调世界时0000时，这些日志文件会被打包为tar + gzip压缩文件，压缩文件名中包含该压缩文件的创建日期。
该数据集存在一处时序细节：当日起始的1至2秒数据会被归入前一日的数据中；此外，由于归档过程的计算开销，每日起始阶段通常会有数秒的数据未被记录。

各字段依次为：协调世界时（UTC）日期与时间、"t"、已流逝秒数、"L"（对应通道1）：同偏振信号、交叉偏振信号、通道1退偏振度、LED工作电流（mA）；"C"（对应通道2）：同偏振信号、交叉偏振信号、通道1退偏振度、LED工作电流（mA）；"B"（对应电源）：供电电压。

文件名以"PS-20*"开头的文件来自风速计桅杆部署点，以"PS-WH-20*"开头的文件则来自无线山部署点。
