A novel approach for the diagnosis of dilated cardiomyopathy (DCM)

In order to identify pivotal targets, which constitute the terminus of specific signal pathways, which underlie the initiation of DCM, we performed an RNA-Seq experiment on myocardial tissue samples both from HF patients and from healthy donors during organ transplantation. We applied both a traditional analysis approach, to evaluate the difference in gene expression, as in our previous works and in others, and an innovative bioinformatic approach, which involved the use of a machine learning (ML) algorithm.
